To an engineer, good enough means perfect. With an artist, there's no such thing as perfect.
-- Alexander Calder
Conversion: Art and Engineering is the third installment of Koret Family Gallery exhibitions to focus on STEAM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). Here we explore the intersection of art and engineering through artwork selected from SJMA’s permanent collection. The works on view spotlight products of engineering practices, champion the artistic process, and blur boundaries between the two disciplines.
The San José Museum of Art is committed to offering lifelong learning for school children and their educators, multigenerational families, creative adults, university students and faculty, and community groups. The Koret Family Gallery space is inspired by the interdisciplinary curriculum of the Museum’s award-winning education program Sowing Creativity.
