Beginning July 22, SJMA will launch its first dedicated permanent collection gallery. Located in the historic Davies Gallery, the longterm installation will provide ongoing public access to key collection holdings, such as Elmer Bischoff, rafa esparza, Louise Nevelson,

among others. The gallery will also offer new opportunities to facilitate deeper engagement with SJMA’s core collection artists and

works of art, activating new multimedia tools, and facilitate deeper alignment with SJMA’s arts education programs.

12-16 artworks in the Davies gallery, highlights from our collection on all media types. Links to the first group of the artists which may include: Nevelson, Thater, Arneson, Andrews, Syjuco, Baca, DeFeo, Hung Liu, Saunders, Alvarez, Shechet, Esparza, De Forest, Ruth Asawa, , An-My Le . The goal is to engage the visitor in the artwork, so consider approaches etc.

Unfortunately the checklist available does not included the latest added artworks so beware it is out of date. We are trying to keep you current with the images seen above.
